Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy is only recommended where it is considered clinically appropriate following assessment by your physiotherapist or via referral from a consultant (e.g. Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine or orthopaedic doctor). Not all conditions are suitable for shockwave therapy, and treatment will only be advised where there is evidence that it is likely to be beneficial.

The same transparent pricing applies to both radial and focused shockwave therapy. Treatment is tailored to your diagnosis using premium Chattanooga® Shockwave Therapy technology, with the most appropriate modality selected according to your clinical needs at no additional cost.

All shockwave appointments include a clinical review, treatment planning, shockwave therapy, and advice on rehabilitation and activity modification where appropriate.

  • Package prices apply to a single injury episode and must be paid for in advance.
  • Package sessions are non-transferable and cannot be shared between individuals or used for separate injury episodes.
  • Both radial and focused shockwave therapy are available where clinically indicated. The most appropriate treatment modality will be selected based on your assessment.
  • Shockwave therapy is most effective when combined with an evidence-based rehabilitation programme and appropriate load management.
  • Additional physiotherapy treatment or review appointments may be recommended where clinically appropriate to optimise your recovery and long-term outcomes.
